The Expanded Training Initiative will be releasing the application for each program when the program is launched. Our programs will be released in phases throughout 2026 once they are ready.

Our next application that will be open is our Surgical Skills Short Courses Program - Train-the-Trainer Master Workshop at AGM Montreal.

As part of the Expanded Training phase launches, the International Gynecologic Cancer Society (IGCS) is next offering a surgical skills short course, "Train-the-Trainer Master Workshop," led by Dr. Reitan Ribeiro, held at our IGCS Annual Global Meeting in Montreal. This workshop will be offered to 24 select surgeons chosen via an application process to further enhance surgical skills in a practical, condensed, and accessible format. Trainers who are selected for this workshop will be learning from over 15+ invited expert surgeon faculty members worldwide who will be attending and teaching alongside participants (attending faculty list coming soon!)

Participant selection will consider the following:

  • Currently be in full-time training or practicing Gynecologic Oncology
  • Be an IGCS member and registered to attend the AGM to attend course
  • Upload CV (5 pages maximum)
  • Upload letter of interest (500 word maximum) that speaks to interest in attending this course, surgical expertise, teaching capacity (if applicable), years of experience, and case complexity/learning interest
  • Upload letter of recommendation from a service chief, program director, or department chairman
  • Complete IGCS application fields including demographic information, level of experience, describe whether applicant currently trains residents and fellows, and whether training is open or laparoscopic

Please note: the registration fee to attend this course is approximately $1,450 USD.

Application deadline for this program will be April 7th, 2026 at 11:59PM CST.
