The IGCS Excellence in Teaching Award recognizes IGCS Members deeply committed to the profession whose work and accomplishments set a standard of excellence. This award recognizes the importance of teaching as an integral part of women’s cancer care and the lasting impact of educators to shape and inspire future generations of clinicians and researchers.
Nomination Form
When making a nomination, the nominator will be asked to write a brief essay explaining why they feel that the individual should be considered for this award.
The nominator may wish to include:
Information about the nominee’s teaching experience, methods, and/or philosophy.Examples of demonstrated leadership and excellence in curriculum development, training, workshops, or other educational initiatives.How the nominee has positively impacted their students’ and mentees’ academic and personal development.How the nominee has successfully collaborated with others (including interdisciplinary cooperation) to advance education, mentorship, and training either through IGCS’ programs or others.The potential international reach of the individual’s influence and teachings.
Eligibility to Nominate
Only active members of the IGCS are eligible to make a nomination for organizational awards. Non-members may complete the nomination form on behalf of an active IGCS member if they enter the name of the IGCS member responsible for the nomination in the nominator section of the form.Self-nominations are accepted.
Eligibility to be Awarded
Only IGCS Members are eligible to receive this award. Please check the IGCS Member Directory to determine the membership status of those you may wish to nominate.Previous IGCS award recipients are not eligible to be nominated for any other IGCS award for a period of 5 years.Individuals or organizations who received an IGCS award at any time in the past may not be considered for the same award at any time.Current IGCS Board Members are not eligible to be nominated.
